What: Georgia Public Library Service is unveiling three new free admissions opportunities with the Atlanta History Center, Computer Museum of America, and Shakespeare Tavern®. Library cardholders can check out a pass from their local library, just like a book, and use it at these locations for free admission. The Georgia Public Library Service Partnerships program is available through all 410 public libraries in Georgia.
Who: Speakers include Julie Walker, the vice chancellor for Libraries and Archives and state librarian; Gayle Holloman, director of Fulton County Public Library; as well as representatives from the Atlanta History Center, Computer Museum of America, and Shakespeare Tavern®.
When and where: Thursday, Sept. 28, 11-11:30 a.m. at the Buckhead Branch of the Fulton County Library System. PARKING INFO. B-roll and photo opportunities will include library customers exploring materials brought from the three organizations, such as a rotary phone from the Computer Museum of America, as well as a representative from Shakespeare Tavern® interacting with guests while in costume from one of Shakespeare’s plays, speakers during the event, and guests interacting.
