Kick off the holiday season with the naughtiest duo on the Riviera. Marietta Theatre Company (MTC) is delighted to announce that Dirty Rotten Scoundrels will take the stage from November 6 through November 15, 2025, bringing wit, charm, and plenty of mischief to Marietta’s Theatre in the Square.

Based on the hit 1988 film starring Steve Martin and Michael Caine, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is a laugh-out-loud musical comedy that follows two cunning con men as they compete to swindle a wealthy heiress on the French Riviera. But when their schemes collide, the result is a wildly entertaining battle of brains, charm, and deception.

Directed by Maxim Gukhman, with music direction by JoAnna Johnson and choreography by Paige McCormick, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels brings together one of MTC’s most dynamic creative teams yet. This production also marks the largest crew in Marietta Theatre Company history, employing 15 local artists, technicians, and designers alongside a talented 14-person cast. 

Adding a heartwarming behind-the-scenes twist, Director Maxim Gukhman and Choreographer Paige McCormick are not only creative collaborators but also husband and wife. The pair first met while working in entertainment on a cruise ship, and this marks their first project together with MTC. Similarly, Production Manager Chance Harbin and Stage Manager Michael Stewart, who are also partners, bring their signature precision and creativity to the production. This makes Dirty Rotten Scoundrels a true labor of love both on and off the stage.

Rated PG-13 for adult language and themes, this production is the perfect night out for those looking for a fun-filled outing brimming with sophisticated laughter.
