Review: High School Musical gets “Elevated”!

You’ve got one more chance to see an old favorite — High School Musical — today at North Hall High School Performing Arts Center at 2:00 PM. Tickets are only $10.00 for adults and $7.00 for children.

You’ve heard of Northeast Georgia School of Music and Dance? Well, this is their first foray into theatre, and they’ve been holding back because these kids did a great job! The company, soon to become Elevate Performing Arts Center, has big plans for the future, and this show is just the tip of the iceberg.

Key-noteworthy performances were delivered by Maddi Greene as Gabriella, Leonel Castillo as Troy, Ezra Wellborn as Ryan, Jonathan Marciniak as Chad, Katelynn Standridge as Martha, Harpo Vallo as Jack, Cassidy Murray as Kelsi, and Ella Smith as Cathy.

Director, Carson Ball, has grown up in the North Georgia Theater community and will be a senior in high school in the fall. He did a fantastic job working with these kids and along with Producer Justin Hollins, Music Director Danielle Aikens-Holland, and Choreagrapher Tara Heimburger.

Let’s not forget our unsung heroes. The technical execution called by stage manager Alaina Cardiges also deserves an honorable mention, as does the entire ensemble.

We’re looking forward to seeing what Elevate has to offer in the future!!
