The Wilson Project is an anthology play of monologues and scenes from the work of legendary African-American playwright, August Wilson. Each piece is selected from Wilson’s ground-breaking American Century Cycle of plays about the African-American experience in every decade from 1900-2000. Notably featured are scenes from the Pulitzer Prize-winning dramas Fences and The Piano Lesson. Join GTA as we honor the life and work of one of the greatest playwrights of all time. Rated PG-15 for some adult language and content. |

Atlanta-based award winning director, actor and educator, David Koté will be leading a talkback with the audience, cast and crew following the Friday, Nov 8 opening night performance. Koté’s production of The Color Purple at Actor’s Express won six Suzi Bass Awards including Outstanding Production of a Musical and Outstanding Direction of a Musical. He serves as primary mentor and director for The Wilson Project and GTA is honored to have him available to speak about Wilson and his impact. |

Discovery Series performances are free of charge, with general admission seating on a first-come, first-seated basis. Patrons can get vouchers beginning at 6:30pm the night of each performance to guarantee their seats. The theatre doors will open at 7:10pm. |
