The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) proudly presents Music in the Meadow at Serenbe, a socially-distanced, outdoor concert series this October. Located in the community of Serenbe in Chattahoochee Hills, two separate concerts will be hosted: Classical Mystery Tour: A Tribute to The Beatles on Friday, October 2 and Opera’s Greatest Hits on Saturday, October 3. Tickets for both performances will become available Friday, September 18 at 10:00 AM at ASO.org and all Ticketmaster outlets.
“We are incredibly grateful to our friends at Serenbe for collaborating with us to create a unique way to once again perform for a live audience,” said Jennifer Barlament, Executive Director of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. “Our musicians and our audiences have been eager for the Atlanta Symphony
Orchestra to return to the stage to make music together since our last performance in Symphony Hall six months ago. We are committed to staying connected with the community during this time with an exciting series of socially distant in-person performances in combination with our virtual concert series this fall.”
What would The Beatles have sounded like if they had the chance to perform live with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra? Find out when Classical Mystery Tour performs live with the ASO for the first night of Music in the Meadow on Friday, October 2. From early Beatles music through the solo years, Classical Mystery Tour presents Beatles tunes performed exactly as they were originally recorded. The four musicians in Classical Mystery Tour look and sound just like The Beatles, but Classical Mystery Tour is much more than just a rock concert!
For the second night of Music in the Meadow, hear your favorite opera hits performed by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, October 3. The concert will feature guest vocalists Nmon Ford, Ronnita Miller, Latonia Moore, Morris Robinson and Russell Thomas. Special guest and former ASO Assistant Conductor/ASYO Music Director, Joseph Young will conduct the event.
With the safety of all musicians, staff, vendors and patrons as the ASO’s highest priority, masks will be a requirement. Seating will also be sold in socially distanced pods of two or four. For more of the safety precautions being taken, please visit aso.org/special.
