Atlanta Artist Relief Fund to Produce “Backyard Performance Series”

ATLANTA – The Atlanta Artist Relief Fund has announced their inaugural “Backyard Performance Series”. The six night event will be produced in partnership with Heck. House in Decatur. Each night will showcase a different headlining act ranging from
Live Music from some of Atlanta’s most recognizable talents to a blow for blow Literary Showdown performed by Write Club Atlanta. Event sponsors include Fire Maker Brewery, DAC Art Consulting, and 360 Arts Blvd. “We’ve been working hard on the sidelines for over a year now. We couldn’t be more proud to partner with some amazing Atlanta artists and arts lovers to produce a series of exciting performances this summer,” says Bridget McCarthy, Executive Director, “Our community has been longing for safe and engaging in-person events for a number of months now, and Atlanta Artist Relief Fund is honored to host
some of Atlanta’s best talent as our industry begins to re-open. ”

Industry tickets are $10 and Non-Industry Adult tickets are $15. Tickets are available for purchase at atlartsrelief.org/backyard. All performances begin at 7:00pm. Beer, water, popcorn, and concessions will be available for purchase. A piece of artwork donated by DAC Art Consulting will be raffled off at each performance.

The Atlanta Artist Relief Fund was created in March of 2020, as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent shelter in place. Since then, AARF has recieved it’s 501(c)3 status from the IRS, expanded programming to include vital mental and emotional health services regardless of an artist’s ability to pay, and worked hard to cultivate a vibrant community in which no
artist gets left behind.
