Atlanta-March 21, 2022
Four-time Grammy-winning singer, composer, and actor Lyle Lovett has confirmed a 2022 tour with his Large Band, in addition to co-headlining dates with Chris Isaak. The new dates follow Lovett’s current tour with his Acoustic Group, which marks his first in-person tour since the start of the pandemic in March 2020. Lyle Lovett and his Large Band and Chris Isaak will perform at Atlanta Symphony Hall on August 18, 2022. Tickets will become available Friday, March 18 at 10:00 AM at Ticketmaster.com. Concert presented by Delta Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE and AEG Presents.
Kicking off with four nights at City Winery-Pier57 in New York City, Lovett and his Large Band will make further stops throughout the country, including at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO, Wolf Trap Filene Center in Vienna, VA, and the Opry at the Ryman in Nashville, TN, as well as many more.
For Chris Isaak, first comes the song. And for First Comes The Night — Isaak’s stunning first album of new material in six years — this gifted singer-songwriter and bandleader is bringing us a bumper crop of strong and intriguing songs from which to choose. “There was no mission for this album other than to follow the songs,” Chris Isaak explains, and in terms of songwriting, the floodgates really opened this time. “My last release was Beyond The Sun — my tribute to Sun Records with a lot of covers — so this time around I had a lot of new material that I was thrilled to record. My manager always tells me, `We need more songs.’ This time, even she realized she’s creating a songwriting monster, and had to beg me to stop.”
