Actor’s Express Presents Theatre People

Speakeysie News Desk

ATLANTA, GA – Actor’s Express is proud to present the launch of its new program, Theatre People, a weekly podcast series.

Theatre People is a show that dives into the beating heart of the Atlanta theatre community. Each week, we sit down with the artists who have shaped the work we see on this city’s stages and the conversations that echo far beyond them. This is where the past, present, and future of Atlanta theatre meet in conversation and community. Theatre People is produced by Actor’s Express, Atlanta’s destination for fearless theatre, and hosted by Sarah Velasco.

Theatre People seeks to amplify the voices of individual artists within Atlanta’s theatre community while also offering insight into the history and evolution of the local theatre scene. The podcast features a wide range of guests, from artists who have helped shape Atlanta theatre for more than three decades to those who have begun their careers in Atlanta more recently. Through these conversations, Theatre People celebrates the vibrancy and richness of Atlanta theatre, honoring the artists whose dedication and creativity continue to define and strengthen the community.

Theatre is a rich and vital aspect of Atlanta’s cultural fabric. At a time when arts organizations are facing pivotal challenges, Theatre People examines the impact theatre has into our communities. These are not simply stories about and from the stage – they are explorations into how the arts have built Atlanta into the dynamic city we know and love.
