Aurora Theatre Brings Back Audience Favorite In the Heights

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Aurora Theatre invites audiences to step into the rhythm, the heat, and the heartbeat of summer with In the Heights, running May 28 through June 21. Tickets are on sale now at auroratheatre.com or by calling the Box Office at 678.226.6222.

Closing Aurora Theatre’s landmark 30th season, In the Heights returns by overwhelming audience demand as one of the most beloved productions in the theatre’s history. With a Tony Award-winning score by Lin-Manuel Miranda and a book by Quiara Alegría Hudes, this electrifying musical transports audiences to Washington Heights, where dreams take shape, community is everything, and every corner has a story to tell.

“In The Heights is about discovering where you belong and who you belong to,” said Producing Artistic Director Ann-Carol Pence. “It celebrates the people, the dreams, and the everyday moments that shape a community. We hope every person who walks into our theatre sees a piece of themselves reflected on stage.”

Cast and Creative Team

This dynamic production features Diego Klock-Perez as Usnavi, Isa Martinez as Nina Rosario, Russell Alexander II as Benny, Lauren Horgan Perez as Vanessa, Anthony Rodriguez as Kevin Rosario, Denise Arribas as Camila Rosario, Felicia Hernandez as Abuela Claudia, Lilliangina Quinones as Daniela, Jackelyn Segui Rodriguez as Carla, Alex De La Vega as Sonny, Bryan Montemayor as Piragua Guy, and Akeem Edwards as Graffiti Pete and also serving as Dance Captain.

The production team is led by Co-Founder, Producing Artistic Director and Music Director Ann-Carol Pence and directed and choreographed by Ricardo Aponte, alongside Associate Artistic Director Katie Chambers, Stage Manager Tyra Watkins, Assistant Stage Managers Jackie Lenz and Lily Ray, Co-Scenic Designers Shannon Robert and Brandon Roak, Lighting Designer Maria Cristina Fuste with Assistant Lighting Designer Mike Morin, Co-Sound Designers Daniel Pope and Daniel Terry with Sound Engineer Mikaela Fraser, Prop Designer Kristin Talley, Costume Designer Courtney Flores with Costume Director Alice Neff and Wardrobe Supervisor Emily Grace Blackstone, Production Manager Daniel Pope, Technical Director Ashley Hogan, Assistant Technical Director and Follow Spot Operator Jack Blackstock, Head of Lighting Isaac Burrier, and Scenic Charge Cody Russell.
